The CASIS team is truly excited about the growing community of researchers who recognize the ISS National Laboratory as an innovative platform to further their research efforts. As a non-profit entity that receives resources from the Federal Government, CASIS is in the process of working with the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) in support of a review of the research aboard the ISS National Laboratory and our cooperative agreement with NASA. In response to a request from the House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, the Government Accountability Office (GAO)—the evaluation arm of the United States Congress—is conducting a review of the management of the International Space Station (ISS) National Laboratory by the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS). As part of this review, GAO will be surveying and interviewing principal investigators that have submitted proposals to CASIS to solicit their views about experience working with, and the processes used by, CASIS.  You have been selected as part of this effort.
 
Our team would like to schedule a time to conduct a brief 10-20 minute interview over the telephone with you by December 5, 2014, to discuss your proposal submitted to CASIS entitled “Test Galileo’s hypothesis and develop RS transmission equipment.” We would appreciate if you would respond to this correspondence with dates and times that you would be available to speak with our team.
Your participation in this survey process is important to ensure that the results of our review are useful and accurate.
