Infrared image above taken August 21st, 2017 from Santee, South Carolina aming at Virgo’s lower half at 2:43pm during the Total Solar Eclipse using Canon EOS Rebel T3 with Hoya Infrared (pass-through) filter, is definitely not the moon, however I wonder if it may be Jupiter. I will test.

Infrared images below taken of the moon, on September 26th, 2017 from Bradenton, Florida look similar to infrared images further below that were taken from the same location on September 5th, 2017, that could be test images taken of the full moon on that night. Those images were not reviewed until 2 nights later and their exact location in the sky is not known.

Camera may have wiggled during 30 second exposure while holding steady on top of tripod.

We still need to pinpoint the exact location and best exposure shutter speed to use, and then input into Stellarium.

On August 21, 2017, during the total Solar Eclipse, while the intense rays of the sun are obscured by the moon, it may be possible to observe the red dragon in the infrared spectrum, as it approaches.

During the eclipse, as seen from Salem, Oregon, at 10:17 am, the constellation Virgo  is partially below the horizon, and the dragon may be blocked from view.
