Deploy a High Altitude Balloon to the Edge of Space and Elevate 4 Metallic Spheres each having the same Outside Diameter (10 cm), Surface Texture (Smooth Reflective) and Mass (1 kg) with the only differences between them being a variation in their Checker Pattern Color and their Magnetic Permeability (Ranging from High to Zero).
Simultaneously release the 4 Metallic Spheres using a Barometric Pressure Sensor and then High Speed Video Record the Visual Effects of Gravitational Motion and other Natural Forces (Air Resistance, Electromagnetism) acting upon their Free-Fall Motion.
Utilize High Zoom Lens Cameras to Video Capture (Including Infrared) their Rates of Acceleration, Times they reach Terminal Velocity, Times they begin to Spin, Axis of their Spin Rotations, Rates of Spin, and their Times to Impact the Ground.
Measure their Separations after Impact and any Residual Levels of Acquired Magnetism.
It appears Felix entered a “violent spin” once he reached terminal velocity. Does gravity induced spin, on a spherical metallic body free-falling through Earth’s magnetic field, produce a charge that will influence the rate of acceleration?
