Hóng, meaning FLOOD, reveals the extent of the flood. It was not a localized flood; God would bring TOTAL WATER upon the land. The word for TOTAL here is significant also. It is a record of what would be left after the flood was finished. There would remain EIGHT TOGETHER upon the EARTH. Only Noah, his wife, their three sons, and their wives would survive.

Could the lunar impact craters have been produced by ice that eventually melted and evaporated back into space?
Hypothetically (just saying …), if over a 40 day and night period, the Earth was pelted by comets comparable to the scares evident on the lunar surface during the same event, what would be the volume of liquid that would have been produced, once the ice melted?
